Live Music: Amanda Lee Peers

Amanda Lee Peers is a singer/songwriter from Rochester, NY. With a wide range of influences from Bob Marley to Led Zeppelin she sings with rivers of raw emotion and soul that traverse genres of pop, rock, soul and everything in between. Take a scoop of Amy Winehouse, pack it in a Delta Blues cone and drizzle it with with some Bob Marley swagger and you'll start to get a taste of what you can expect from this up-and-coming artist.

In 2011, she won a local singing competition called Lovin Cup Idol at a local music venue called Lovin Cup. She then went on to form a band called The Driftwood Sailors. The band played numerous festivals such as Park Ave Fest, Oswego Harbor Fest, Greentopia, The Lilac Festival, where they opened for The Spin Doctors and Party in the Park where they opened for Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers. They release an album titled White Horses & Black Jeans in 2012. In late 2013, the band split up and Amanda pursued a solo career.

In 2014, Amanda auditioned for season 7 of NBC's The Voice, singing "Put The Gun Down" by ZZ Ward for her blind audition, which landed her a spot on Gwen Stefani's team. She has opened for artists such as Jessica Lea Mayfield, Mat Kearny and The Script.

She has just released her debut solo album titled "Summertime State of Mind" on Friday, April 24, 2015.
