Live Music: Suspect

You've never heard classic rock quite like this before. It's been years in the making. Danny Lewis is the lone original member of "Suspect" who played around Elmira in the early 80's. A few years ago he hooked with accomplished local musicians Dean Benjamin (Drums & vocals) and Don Holloway (Lead guitar) and collectively they represent a wealth of talent and experience. Don's son Collin Holloway and Zach Hamilton complete the bands new line up.

Their talent and youthful energy coupled with the seasoned musicianship of the others has resulted in a uniquely refreshing sound. The band's collective vocal talent and ability to harmonize lends itself to a genre defying style and diverse, wide-ranging repertoire.

Live Music: The Gabe Stillman Band

A feel-good, fire-breathin’ freight train of the blues, The Gabe Stillman Band is a musical force to be reckoned with...winning over audiences at every show with dynamic performances that showcase the band’s musical prowess, depth of artistic passion, and pure joy of playing ‘the blues.’

While the electrifying trio’s sound is unmistakably rooted in American Blues, the band draws deeply from the influences of soul, R&B, funk, and New Orleans jazz & blues music, performing both original songs and well-chosen ‘cover songs’ paying respectful homage to the legends of the blues ... but in the band’s own inimitable way.

Live Music: El Caminos

While the members of the band would be hard-pressed to describe their sound, the band definitely has its roots firmly planted in the Alt Country-Rock / Americana realm. Added to this are elements from string bands, rock and roll, and even punk.

The band clearly has fun while playing, and their original tunes indicate a kind of snarkiness that about which one reviewer says “you can sense a chuckle behind the singing.” Live performances have the band playing a dangerously danceable and fun mix of Alt Country, Americana, & Cow-Punk - upbeat, lively, and always a lot of fun!

Singer/songwriter Suzi Brown has found herself on a musical journey, from playing coffee shops, wineries and theaters to studio work on her first full length album "Siren Song." She has collaborated with Producer Pier Giacalone (Regina Spektor and Sloan Wainwright); drummer Rodney Holmes (Carlos Santana and Steve Kimock); and keyboardist Arne Wendt (Bon Jovi). Weaving together her storytelling abilities and a unique instrumental talent, her rhythm strikes a familiar chord in the listener. From lyrics that will leave you with a reminiscent smile to serious topics about the issues surrounding the current times, Suzi's songs are both easy to sing along to and hard to forget.
